LET'S RECONNECT BEFORE WE DISCONNECT

Hi there my name is Elliott Greenleaf. I’m a yoga teacher currently teaching and sharing my love for yoga in Norwich. Thank you for taking the time to visit my website. I have been practicing yoga for 2 and a half years with a strong dedicated morning practice lasting from 2 to 3 hours a day. I completed my 200hr yoga teach training with Dylan Werner, an amazing advanced yoga practitioner. I feel I have always loved movement throughout my life from playing American football or going to the gym but I also feel I got distracted by modern technology after completing my degree in Games Design and after endless hours of sitting I turned to yoga. I found this a great way to reconnect with myself. I teach a challenging Vinyasa class which I believe can be for anyone. My teacher says “If we are not growing we are dying. I believe that challenging ourselves everyday only makes us grow and also makes us stay present.  The way the world is currently, with everything changing rapidly and with so many distractions, it’s hard to find the time to give to ourselves.

I hope to share my journey and practice with you.

Let’s reconnect before we disconnect.

You can find my class timetable below. Feel free to send me a message with any questions you might have.

A little about the walks: Chris and I have done lots of different walks in the past – some challenging in groups like the 3 Yorkshire and 3 national peaks in 48 hours, others more relaxed local walks. I will be driving a group of people to these special destinations, sharing the experience together, starting off on our favourite local walks and then in the future going further afield and including yoga and camping alongside the walks

I feel this is going to be a great way to connect with one another, sharing the adventure together. I’m really looking forward to meeting all of you on this journey.

A little about Chris Yates:

I first saw Chris doing yoga in the gym and he is not your everyday yoga body. Chris stood out to me back in 2017 and set me on my yoga journey. A guy that won many bodybuilding contests including Junior Mr UK, British Youth Champion, Mr Eastern Counties, Mr Central England, Mr Britain and Mr Hercules (anymore and he would be in Mr men) back in his youth. I found it amazing to see such a muscular guy moving with such grace – being able to do the splits and stand on his head. At the same time! Chris changed his journey from the bodybuilding world when they wanted him to go down another path he did not agree with to compete around the world. He made his transition to well-being as a personal trainer and nutritionist and has practiced for 28 years here in Norwich, well known and well respected in his field. You won’t find him on social media but you may have noticed him practicing in the gym like I did.

It is fair to say that he is an encyclopaedia of knowledge with a huge amount of experience of organising and leading walks and challenges in the hills and mountains of the UK. During the walks, feel free to ask him as many questions that you have about your health and fitness and wellbeing journey. I know that I have learned a lot from him. He has studied neuroanatomy, endocrinology, human psychology and meta physics.

The idea of the walks is to get people talking and connecting with one another. Apart from being a yoga teacher, I work in a clothes shop in the city and I really love talking to lots of different people. I enjoy using my lunch breaks to meet different people all over the city, seeing as many people as I can. I enjoy the experience of hearing what people are doing.

I would like to build strong connections on these walking tours and give the chance to others to do the same. We can go further together on more walks in the future and travel to places such as the Lake District, Scotland, Wales and Europe and finding new challenges.

I believe that many of us are distracted by technology and meaningless endeavours. I think this will be a great way to get back to nature together making new experiences and memories that will enrich our lives.
